Regular Season Round 27: BK Kolin - MMCITE Brno 88-71

Rather expected game when 12th ranked MMCITE Brno (4-20) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked BK Kolin (8-17) 88-71 on Saturday. It was a great evening for the former international center Ales Chan (215-80, college: Seton Hill) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). American point guard Darryl Bryant (187-90, college: W.Virginia) helped adding 24 points and 5 assists. Four BK Kolin players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Ondrej Siska (190-93) with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Filip Smid (194-92) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. MMCITE Brno's coach Vladimir Paunovic rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. BK Kolin maintains tenth place with 8-17 record. Loser MMCITE Brno stay dead last with 20 lost games. BK Kolin will meet higher ranked BK Lions Hradec (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MMCITE Brno will play against the league's leader BK Decin (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
