Very predictable result when sixth ranked Tarbes (9-5) outscored at home 11th ranked Nantes Reze (4-10) 88-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tarbes. Nantes Reze managed to win fourth quarter 10-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Alexandria Bentley (170-90, college: Tarbes, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and Ukrainian center Valeriya Berezhynska (193-86, college: Rice, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Tarbes players scored in double figures. point guard Isis Arrondo (166-89) responded with 17 points and Croatian center Emilija Podrug (190-79) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Nantes Reze's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Tarbes have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 9-5 record. Nantes Reze lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Lyon. Tarbes will meet league's leader Bourges on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nantes Reze will play against Basket Landes (#4) and hope to secure a win.
