Regular Season Round 12: UNI Gyor - PEAC-Pecs 78-68

The game between Top Four teams took place in Gyor. Second ranked host UNI Gyor (9-2) defeated 3rd ranked PEAC-Pecs (7-4) 78-68. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-68. UNI Gyor forced 19 PEAC-Pecs turnovers. It was a great shooting night for UNI Gyor especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists and Serbian guard Milica Ivanovic (175-88, college: Catawba, agency: Interperformances) who added 20 points during the contest. Four UNI Gyor players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Serbian Nevena Jovanovic (182-90) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. UNI Gyor have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader UNIQA Eurol. PEAC-Pecs at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. UNI Gyor are looking forward to face bottom-ranked MKB Eurl.Vasas (#10) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PEAC-Pecs will play on the road against Miskolc (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
