Regular Season Round 9: ADBA - Celta Selmark 55-60

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Real Celta Vigo (4-5) won against 6th ranked ADBA (4-5) in Aviles 60-55 on Saturday. ADBA was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 17-10 charge of Real Celta Vigo, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Mali center Minata Keita (190-89) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Maria Perez Araujo (184-97) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Real Celta Vigo's coach Carlos Colinas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Lara Fernandez (179-87) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American-Nigerian swingman Anma Onyeuku (181-91, college: Hofstra) added 18 points and 4 steals in the effort for ADBA. Real Celta Vigo moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated ADBA. Real Celta Vigo will face Oviedo (#10) at home in the next round.
