No shocking result in a game when third ranked Dunkerque (10-3) smashed at home 7th ranked Avenir (6-7) 82-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Dunkerque led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American forward Keisha Hampton (187-90, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and power forward Dace Pierre-Joseph (187-81) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws). Four Dunkerque players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Magali Mendy (177-90) responded with 14 points and guard Swanne Gauthier (171-86) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Dunkerque have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 10-3 record behind leader Roche. Avenir lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Reims and SIG. Dunkerque will meet at home LTB 29 (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Avenir will play against Charnay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
