Top ranked Saint Chamond (11-3) recorded its third loss on the court of sixth ranked JSA Bordeaux on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by JSA Bordeaux 88-85. 32 personal fouls committed by Saint Chamond helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Spanish power forward Roberto Morentin (204-81, college: Cent.Florida) fired 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Cameroonian guard Ralph Temgoua (196-87, college: St.Lawrence) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian swingman Mantas Ruikis (195-85) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and guard Matthieu Guichard (188-88) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Five JSA Bordeaux and four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. JSA Bordeaux have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 9-6 record. Saint Chamond at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. JSA Bordeaux are looking forward to face Vendee Challans (#9) on the road in the next round. Saint Chamond will play against the league's second-placed UB Chartres (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
