Regular Season Round 17: Palma - Cocinas.com 79-65

There was no surprise in S'Arenal where 13th ranked Cocinas.com (4-12) was defeated by sixth ranked Palma (10-6) 79-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Palma. Cocinas.com managed to win third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Comsport) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and Italian guard Pablo Bertone (193-90, college: Florida Atlantic) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Czech point guard Jakub Kudlacek (193-90) responded with 17 points and center Jose Manuel Coego (205-78) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Palma have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Burgos and Planasa NV. Loser Cocinas.com keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Prat and Clinicas Rincon. Palma will meet Melilla Baloncesto (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cocinas.com will play against CB Prat (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
