Rather expected game when 10th ranked SBS Ostrava (2-10) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Aldast Strakonice (6-5) 77-62. The game was mostly controlled by Aldast Strakonice. SBS Ostrava was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aldast Strakonice had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international center Edita Sujanova (190-85) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Bosnian guard Irena Vrancic (167-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American power forward Chantel Hilliard (188-90, college: Auburn) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Tereza Sedlackova (181-92) added 13 points in the effort for SBS Ostrava. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SBS Ostrava's coach Tomas Petivlas tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aldast Strakonice maintains seventh position with 6-5 record. SBS Ostrava lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with ten games lost. Aldast Strakonice's next round opponent will be higher ranked USK Praha (#5) at home and it may be quite challenging game. SBS Ostrava will play against the league's second-placed Valosun Brno (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
