Suchy Las (#3) forced the game against Gornik (#1) into an overtime, but lost by two points 92-94. The game took place in Suchy Las. But the guests from Walbrzych were better at the end. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 21-16 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 22-20. Gornik made 26-of-33 charity shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Suchy Las turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Suchy Las helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks. Rafal Niesobski (189-82) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) replied with 21 points and 6 assists and guard Damian Szymczak (185-95) added 22 points and 5 steals in the effort for Suchy Las. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Gornik maintains first position with 14-2 record, which they share with Nysa Klodzko. Suchy Las at the other side keep the third place with six games lost. Gornik's next round opponent will be Polonia Leszno (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Suchy Las will play against Miedzychod (#6) and hope to win that game.
