Regular Season Round 17: Le Mans - Limoges 59-74

ProA top team - Limoges CSP Elite (14-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Le Mans (9-8) 74-59. The game was mostly controlled by Limoges CSP Elite. Le Mans managed to win fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limoges CSP Elite dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Le Mans' 26. The former international forward Adrien Moerman (203-88) stepped up and scored 9 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Brazilian power forward Joao Paulo Batista (205-81, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 19 points. Limoges CSP Elite's coach Jean-Marc Dupraz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international point guard Rodrigue Beaubois (186-88, agency: Comsport) responded with 15 points and Polish power forward Michal Ignerski (207-80, college: Mississippi St.) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-3 record, which they share with Nanterre and Strasbourg. Le Mans at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Le Havre and Paris-Levallois. Limoges CSP Elite is looking forward to face league's second-placed JSF Nanterre at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Le Mans will play against Cholet Basket (#15) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
