Semi-Finals Game 1: Azad - Petrochimi 70-66

Azad grabbed the lead in the semifinal series versus Petrochimi. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Petrochimi won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Azad won last quarter 16-13. 29 personal fouls committed by Petrochimi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International power forward Rouzbeh Arghavan (214-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and international guard Javad Davari (185-83) chipped in 16 points and 4 steals. At the losing side international forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) responded with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and international Behnam Yakhchali (197-95) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Petrochimi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
