Second Stage Round 3: Perlas-MRU - Suduva-Mantinga 84-80

The game between Top Four teams took place in Vilnius. host Perlas-MRU (23-6) defeated Suduva-Mantinga (18-11)The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-12. But Suduva-Mantinga won third quarter 27-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Perlas-MRU won last quarter 24-21. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Suduva-Mantinga's players. It was a good game for center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Forward Antanas Udras (203-92) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international Aurimas Kieza (203-82, college: Hofstra) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Paulius Petrilevicius (201-91) added 15 points in the effort for Suduva-Mantinga. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Giedrius Zibenas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Perlas-MRU will have a break next round. Suduva-Mantinga will play at home against Ezerunas-Karys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
