The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Pogon RS's (8-10) home victory over 8th ranked AZS PCz (6-11) 88-83 on Saturday. AZS PCz was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 24-14 charge of Pogon RS, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Point guard Patryk Jelen (183-90) fired 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Pawel Mol (180-87) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Five Pogon RS players scored in double figures. Pogon RS's coach Marcin Cyran allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Marcin Bluma (201-89) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Wojciech Kotlewski (195-84) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Pogon RS maintains seventh place in Group C with 8-10 record. AZS PCz lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Pogon RS will have a break next round. AZS PCz will play on the road against MKS DG 2 (#9) in Dabrowa Gornicza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
