The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Kotwica's (7-9) home loss to fifth ranked Trefl II Sopot (9-6) 67-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Trefl II Sopot. Kotwica was better in third quarter 22-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pawel Krefft (188-96) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Grzegorz Kulka (203-96) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Trefl II Sopot players scored in double figures. Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) produced 28 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Pawel Lasota (201-96) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trefl II Sopot maintains fifth place in Group A with 9-6 record. Kotwica lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Trefl II Sopot will face higher ranked Asseco II (#4) in Gdynia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
