Regular Season Round 34: Gansos - Halc.Rojos 83-102

LNBP top team - Halcones Rojos (26-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Gansos (9-24) in Ciudad de Mexico 102-83. The game without a history. Halcones Rojos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Gansos' 36. They outrebounded Gansos 49-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. American forward Devin Ebanks (206-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: Interperformances) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) chipped in 19 points during the contest. At the losing side American guard Harrison Smith (190-87, college: Texas Southern) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and Garcia Edson scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Halcones Rojos and four Gansos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Halcones Rojos maintains first position with 26-5 record. Gansos at the other side keep the twelfth place with 24 games lost. Halcones Rojos will play against Abejas (#5) in Guanajuato in the next round. Gansos will play on the road against Gigantes (#10) in Toluca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
