Zaglebie (#8) forced the game against Sokol Lancut (#2) into an overtime, but lost by six points 81-87 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Zaglebie. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 18-17 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 6-point victory in overtime. Sokol Lancut forced 21 Zaglebie turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Rafal Kulikowski (205-85, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sokol Lancut maintains second place with 12-5 record behind leader Stal Ostrow, which they share with Krosno. Newly promoted Zaglebie keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Sokol Lancut will face SKK Siedlce (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zaglebie will play against GTK Gliwice (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
