Another exciting game took place in Jonava where sixth ranked Nafta-Uni. (16-13) edged by three points 5th ranked Petrochema (15-14) 73-70. Petrochema was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Nafta-Uni. made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Nafta-Uni. outrebounded Petrochema 46-34 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Petrochema was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Julius Kazakauskas (197-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Donatas Norkus (196-90) contributed with 8 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (185-85) replied with 23 points and forward Tomas Milinskas (202-90) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Petrochema. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nafta-Uni. moved-up to fifth place. Petrochema lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. Nafta-Uni. will play against Zanavykas (#7) in Sakiai in the next round. Petrochema will play at home against the league's second-placed Ezerunas-Karys and hopes to get back on the winning track.
