Regular Season Round 18: Challans - Chartres 83-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Challans between third ranked UB Chartres (10-6) and ninth ranked Vendee Challans (9-7) on Saturday night. UB Chartres was defeated by Vendee Challans in a tough game on the road 76-83. UB Chartres trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 23-15 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 76-83 at the end of the game. Vendee Challans made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 UB Chartres turnovers. The best for the losing side was American point guard Ricky Franklin (185-87, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) with 24 points and Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Pridotkas (200-84) scored 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four UB Chartres players scored in double figures. Vendee Challans moved-up to sixth place, which they share with St Vallier. UB Chartres at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Vendee Challans is looking forward to face GET Vosges (#10) in Golbey in the next round. UB Chartres will play at home against the league's second-placed JA Vichy (#2) and is hoping to win this game.
