Regular Season Round 18: Vichy - Bordeaux 81-69

Very expected game when 8th ranked JSA Bordeaux (9-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked JA Vichy (11-5) 81-69. JSA Bordeaux was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. JA Vichy made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four JA Vichy players scored in double figures. American-Ivorian guard Errick Craven (185-83, college: USC) replied with 17 points and point guard Gauthier Darrigand (184-82) added 17 points and 4 steals in the effort for JSA Bordeaux. JA Vichy have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lourdes and Blois. JSA Bordeaux at the other side keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. JA Vichy's next round opponent will be UB Chartres (#5) on the road. JSA Bordeaux will play against Rueil and hope to win that game.
