Regular Season Round 19: Treviglio - Reggio Calabr. 70-68

The most exciting game of round 19 in the A2 Silver took place in Treviglio. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Reggio Calabr. (11-8) to third ranked Treviglio (12-6) 70-68 in the game for the third place. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 35-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Treviglio outrebounded Reggio Calabr. 45-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Raphael Gaspardo (206-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Tommaso Marino (192-86) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Treviglio players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Swedish-American Erik Rush (196-88, college: Montana St.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Treviglio maintains third place with 12-6 record behind leader Ravenna. Reggio Calabr. at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Ferrara and Recanati. Treviglio are looking forward to face Tortona (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Reggio Calabr. will play against Scafati (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
