Regular Season Round 28: Eco Orebro - Norrkoping 74-97

Very expected game when 10th ranked Eco Orebro (4-19) was smashed at home by second ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (17-6) 97-74 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Norrkoping Dolphins led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Eco Orebro's 42. Norrkoping Dolphins forced 22 Eco Orebro turnovers and outrebounded them 36-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by the former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Croatian guard Toni Prostran (181-91) supported him with 27 points. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by Hungarian power forward Miklos Szabo (204-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) did not help to save the game for Eco Orebro. Johan Lofberg (199-95) added 23 points for lost side. Eco Orebro's coach Panagiotis Nikolaidis gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Eco Orebro keeps the tenth place with 19 games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will meet Uppsala Basket (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Eco Orebro will play against Nassjo (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
