Very significant was Belarusian Olimpia GrGAU's (#1, 4-0) victory against 3rd placed Kazakhstan Okzhetpes (4-4) 66-53. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Okzhetpes. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpia GrGAU. Okzhetpes managed to win fourth quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maryia Rashchenia (185-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Ksenya Voishal (182-94) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Olimpia GrGAU's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Victoria Shmatova (172-87) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Russian center Darya Shilyaeva (190-88) scored 5 points and 12 rebounds. Olimpia GrGAU have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record. Okzhetpes at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. Olimpia GrGAU are looking forward to face RSU-Merks (#5) in Riga in the next round. Okzhetpes will have a break next round.
