Second Stage Round 3: Mons-Hainaut - Trabzonspor 56-75

Not a big story in a game in Quaregnon where Belgian Belfius Mons-Hainaut (0-3) was rolled over by Turkish Trabzonspor (3-0) 75-56 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Trabzonspor. Belfius Mons-Hainaut was better in second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Serbian forward Novica Velickovic (205-86, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Croatian-Bosnian center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, agency: Beo Basket) helped adding 10 points and 5 rebounds. Trabzonspor's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Mike Smith (198-87, college: E.Tenn.St.) with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Jason Love (206-87, college: Xavier) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Trabzonspor will face Antwerp Giants on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
