An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Qingdao. Second ranked Liaoning Hunters faced 3rd placed Qingdao Eagles. Guests from Yingkou (32-5) defeated host Qingdao Eagles (27-10) 109-104. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 33-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Liaoning Hunters made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) fired 42 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international center XiaoXu Li (206-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington, agency: Comsport) produced 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and swingman Chengyu Zhang (193-89) added 24 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Qingdao Eagles' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Liaoning Hunters maintains second place with 32-5 record having just two points less than leader Guangdong ST. Qingdao Eagles lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Beijing Ducks. Liaoning Hunters are looking forward to face Fujian (#16) in Jinjiang in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Qingdao Eagles will play at home against TianJin Steel (#13) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
