An interesting game for Strasbourg IG (16-3) which played road game in JDA Dijon against 4th placed JDA Dijon (13-6). Second ranked Strasbourg IG managed to get a 4-point victory 74-70. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of JDA Dijon. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But JDA Dijon won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strasbourg IG made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Paul Lacombe (195-90, agency: Beo Basket) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 7 assists. American point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) accounted for 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Strasbourg IG players scored in double figures. American point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) came up with 17 points and the other American import Zach Moss (200-81, college: Mountain St.) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for JDA Dijon in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Strasbourg IG. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Nanterre. JDA Dijon at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Strasbourg IG will meet ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. JDA Dijon will play against Chalons-Reims and hope to secure a win.
