There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers BG Karlsruhe (9-8) was defeated at home by seventh ranked White Wings (9-8) 83-72. 26 personal fouls committed by BG Karlsruhe helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Cardell McFarland (182-87, college: Ky Wesleyan) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. The other American import forward Cory Cooperwood (200-88, college: Wright St.) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Australian-British forward Paul Brotherson (198-89, college: Metro St.) replied with 22 points and center Adrian Lind (204-94) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for BG Karlsruhe. BG Karlsruhe's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. White Wings have a solid four-game winning streak.
