Undefeated leader Wisla Krakow delivered the sixteenth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Rybnik (8-8) 106-45. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rybnik. The game without a history. Wisla Krakow led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rybnik to just 5 points in first quarter. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Rybnik's 24 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game, while Rybnik only scored 0 point from the stripe. Wisla Krakow forced 23 Rybnik turnovers and outrebounded them 37-23 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Rybnik's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian center Gintare Petronyte (196-89) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Drey Mingo (191-89, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) responded with 19 points and her fellow American import guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wisla Krakow (16-0) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Rybnik at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Wisla Krakow will meet AZS UMCS (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rybnik will play against Sleza Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
