Second Stage Round 4: Taby/Djursholm - BG Lulea 104-99

Date: February 1, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked BG Lulea (1-3) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Taby Basket (4-0) 104-99 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 27-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Taby Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to BG Lulea's 42 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Taby Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Marcus Friman who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and guard Mattias Herlitz (190-94) who added 28 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Joel Svensson (184-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Andreas Von Uthmann (197-96) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taby Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of BEHS forts leader, which they share with Eskilstuna. BG Lulea lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. Taby Basket will have a break next round. BG Lulea's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Lulea to the arena LF Future.
