An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Cork. Leader UCC Demons faced second-best Killester. Host UCC Demons (13-0) defeated guests from Dublin (9-4) 88-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Killester. They outrebounded Killester 42-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. UCC Demons players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Shane Coughlan (188-79) contributed with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized American forward Jermaine Turner (195-74, college: Dowling) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ciaran Roe (170-93) added 9 points and 6 assists in the effort for Killester. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for UCC Demons. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Defending champion Killester dropped to the third position with four games lost. UCC Demons will play against league's second-placed Swords Thunder in Dublin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Killester will have a break next round.
