A very interesting game took place in Castellanza. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 10th ranked Legnano (9-11) to thirteenth ranked Latina Basket (8-12) 80-78 on Sunday evening. The winners were led by American swingman Drake Reed (196-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: KMG Sports Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) supported him with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by American guard John Merchant (187-89, college: Dowling) did not help to save the game for Legnano. American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (201-88, college: Georgia St.) added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Four Latina Basket and five Legnano players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Latina Basket maintains thirteenth position with 8-12 record, which they share with Roseto. Legnano at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Latina Basket's next round opponent will be league's leader Treviso Basket at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
