Regular Season Round 30: Sundsvall - Eco Orebro 102-87

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sundsvall Dragons (17-7) defeated at home 10th ranked Eco Orebro (4-21) 102-87 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Sundsvall Dragons. Eco Orebro managed to win second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sundsvall Dragons shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Akeem Wright (200-84, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Wright is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Sundsvall Dragons' coach Tommie Hansson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Cliff Colimon (182-89, college: E.Washington) with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Hungarian power forward Miklos Szabo (204-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sundsvall Dragons have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Boras. Eco Orebro lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 21 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons will again meet Eco Orebro (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eco Orebro will have a break next round.
