Regular Season Round 20: St Chamond - Mulhouse 87-78

Leader Saint Chamond delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Mulhouse Basket (7-11) 87-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mulhouse Basket. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-20. But Mulhouse Basket won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saint Chamond players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Naturalized DR Congolese guard Jean-Paul Landu-Bongo (185-85) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. British-Ghanian center Eric Boateng (208-85, college: Arizona St.) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Jonathan Godin (185-82) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Mulhouse Basket. Four Mulhouse Basket players scored in double figures. Saint Chamond have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-3 record. Newly promoted Mulhouse Basket keeps the twelfth place with 11 games lost. Saint Chamond will play against Saint Vallier (#5) on the road in the next round. Mulhouse Basket will play against Vendee Challans (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
