Regular Season Round 3: Chunghua T. - Taipower 81-72

Very significant was Chunghwa Telecom's (#3, 1-2) victory against Taipower (0-3) 81-72. Chunghwa Telecom was already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 24-21 Taipower's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 81-72 at the end of the game. Chunghwa Telecom made 20-of-20 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Li-Yun Wang (176-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Chien-Hui Hsu (171-89) accounted for 21 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Chunghwa Telecom players scored in double figures. International guard Yu-Chun Wei (176-92) came up with 12 points and the former international guard Hsien-Fang Lin (168-91) added 12 points respectively for Taipower in the defeat. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chunghwa Telecom will again play against Taipower (#4) in the next round. Taipower will have a break next round.
