Regular Season Round 21: Bordeaux - CFBB 96-70

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-70 loss to ninth ranked JSA Bordeaux (11-9) in Bordeaux. The game without a history. JSA Bordeaux led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 34 and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. JSA Bordeaux players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Spanish power forward Roberto Morentin (204-81, college: Cent.Florida) nailed 29 points and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side and naturalized Tunisian power forward Mehdi Labeyrie-Hafsi (202-78) accounted for 21 points and 8 rebounds. Bathiste Tchouaffe (195-98) came up with 24 points and center Jonathan Jeanne (212-97) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to seventh place. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. JSA Bordeaux will have a break next round. CFBB will play at home against UB Chartres (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
