Regular Season Round 33: Shimane SM - Shiga L-Stars 83-64

We should not miss a home victory of seventh ranked Shimane Magic (11-20) who crushed 4th placed Shiga L-Stars (18-11) by 19 points 83-64. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Shiga L-Stars was better in fourth quarter 28-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Shiga L-Stars' 30. Shimane Magic forced 21 Shiga L-Stars turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Isiah Brown (203-89, college: E.Tenn.St.) who scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Edward Yamamoto (173-86) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia, agency: Haylett Sports) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shimane Magic moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Oita H.Devils. Shiga L-Stars lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 11 games lost. Shimane Magic's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
