No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Gunma (10-19) beat at home 11th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (4-27) 81-73 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tokyo Cinq R. won third quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gunma dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Cinq R.'s 34. American players dominated also this game. It was a good game for forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Jemal Farmer (195-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Blacktop Management) answered with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Michael Hart (205-85, college: N.Illinois) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunma maintains eighth place with 10-19 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 27 games lost. Gunma will face again Tokyo Cinq R.
