Regular Season Round 15: Hottur - Thor AK 92-66

Leader Hottur delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Thor AK (1-12) 92-66 in Egilsstadir. The game without a history. Hottur led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for American guard Tobin Carberry (193-91, college: LIU Post) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Ragnar Albertsson (190-93) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Carberry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Hottur players scored in double figures. American forward Frisco Sandidge (198-87, college: Delaware St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Tryggi Hlinason added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Thor AK. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hottur (15-2) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Thor AK lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Hottur will play against KFI (#7) in Isafjordur in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Thor AK will play at home against IA to get more than just one victory in their record.
