We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Wisla Krakow (8-9) defeated at home 5th ranked Polonia W-wa (8-10) 79-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Krakow. Polonia W-wa was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Wisla Krakow won last quarter 29-13. They also forced 20 Polonia W-wa turnovers. Polonia W-wa was plagued by 37 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for power forward Jakub Zaczek (203-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Rafal Zglobicki (196-94) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Guard Marek Popiolek (191-89, agency: Promotex) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Polonia W-wa. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Wisla Krakow moved-up to fifth place in Group B. Loser Polonia W-wa dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost.
