Important game to mention about took place in Szczecin. Tenth ranked Anwil (8-11) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Wilki Morskie (5-14) 78-77 on Sunday evening. Wilki Morskie was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 15-13 charge of Anwil, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import swingman Chase Simon (198-89, college: Detroit Mercy) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. point guard Marcin Flieger (183-84, agency: Promotex) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian power forward Uros Nikolic (207-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Wilki Morskie. Five Anwil and four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Anwil moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Polfarmex KT. Newly promoted Wilki Morskie dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Anwil will face Polpharma (#13) in Starogard in the next round. Wilki Morskie will play on the road against Trefl in Sopot and hope to win that game.
