Trotamundos overcame Capitanes in the decisive game of Liga Americas Group D. The Venezuelan team improved at 2-1 record advancing into the Second Stage of the competition. David Cubillan scored 17 points to pace the winners. Capitanes gained a 19:12 lead after ten minutes. Trotamundos knocked down 17 points in the second period and narrowed the gap at 4-point mark 29:33. The Venezuelan side held Capitanes to just 9 points in the third period and spurred ahead for a 2-point lead. Trotamundos maintained the advantage throughout the final period and coasted to the win. Robert Glenn had 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Dwight Lewis and Jhornan Zamora had 9 points each in the victory. Guillermo Diaz responded with 16 points for Capitanes. David Cortez tossed in 13 points in the defeat.
