Regular Season Round 19: Hapoel Eilat - Hapoel Holon 86-89

The most exciting game of round 19 in the Winner League took place in Eilat. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Hapoel Eilat (9-10) to third ranked Hapoel Holon (12-7) 89-86 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Eilat. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 35-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Holon shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a great evening for American Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Three Eye Sports) helped adding 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Comsport) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and international Elishay Kadir (202-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Five Hapoel Holon and four Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-7 record having five points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Eilat at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Hapoel Holon are looking forward to face Ironi Nahariya (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Eilat will play against Maccabi Haifa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
