Regular Season Round 19: Slask Wroclaw - Energa Czarni 69-74
Date: February 10, 2015
An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of 4th ranked Slask in a game in Wroclaw versus Energa Czarni (#7) 74-69. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Slask won third quarter 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import center Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. International swingman Jakub Dloniak (194-83, agency: Promotex) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Ukrainian forward Denis Ikovlev (200-86, college: Nevada, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 12 points respectively for Slask in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Slask's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Energa Czarni (11-7) moved-up to sixth place. Slask at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Rosa Radom. Energa Czarni will meet at home higher ranked AZS Koszalin (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slask will play against Stabill Jezioro in Tarnobrzeg and hope to secure a win.
