Quarter-Finals Round 4: DongGuan L. - Guangdong ST 89-102

Guangdong Southern Tigers advanced into CBA semifinals. They knocked down DongGuan in the fourth game of the series to seal their next round appearance. The game was mostly controlled by Guandong Tigers. DongGuan Leopards managed to win second period 28-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to DongGuan Leopards' 52. They outrebounded DongGuan Leopards 55-38 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for DongGuan Leopards. Five Guandong Tigers and four DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
