The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Denizli (16-4) in Pamukkale on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked Gediz (10-10) 66-57. Denizli trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 22-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-66 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward K'Zell Wesson (201-77, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and forward Emre Ozpulat (200-82) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Cevat Ozcan (188-89) scored 14 points. Denizli's coach Okan Cevik rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gediz moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Adanaspor and Socar Petkim. Denizli at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Buyukcekmece. Gediz is looking forward to face higher ranked Gelisim (#7) in Izmir in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Denizli will have a break next round.
