American guard Will Barnes (185-88, college: Lee) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Vincent Kittmann (199-88) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Brandon Johnson (183-86, college: San Diego, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 31 points and 4 steals and Bill Borekambi (199-92, college: Sequoias CC) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hamburg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Heidelberg and ETB Wohnbau.
