Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Shimane Magic (11-23) was outscored by second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (28-6) in Mikawa 93-71. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Hamamatsu Phoenix outrebounded Shimane Magic 37-21 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Law) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Satoshi Kawai (182-82) added 15 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamamatsu Phoenix keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Akita NH and Kyoto Hannar. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the seventh place with 23 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix's next round opponent will be Takamatsu FA (#8) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Shimane Magic will play against the league's leader Okinawa GK and hope to win that game.
