Top ranked Rabotnicki (9-2) recorded its second loss on the court of fourth ranked MZT Skopje on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by MZT Skopje 78-71. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Rabotnicki. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Rabotnicki was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Rabotnicki 39-27 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. International center Predrag Samardziski (215-86, agency: Beo Basket) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Serbian Uros Lucic (207-83) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Todor Gecevski (209-77, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Gjorgi Cekovski (203-79) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion (8-3) moved-up to second place. Rabotnicki at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. MZT Skopje are looking forward to face Goce Delchev (#8) in Shtip in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rabotnicki will play at home against KK Strumica (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
