Seventh ranked Jefes (19-18) crushed at home 13th ranked Gansos (9-30) by 27 points 118-91, which is the biggest margin this round on Thursday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Jefes dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Gansos' 50. The best player for the winners was American-Cape Verdean swingman B.J. Monteiro (195-90, college: Duquesne) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists. American guard Ray Gallegos (188-90, college: Nebraska) chipped in 27 points.
