Regular Season Round 22: Burgos - Palma 99-65

Fifth ranked Burgos (13-6) crushed at home 8th ranked Palma (11-10) by 34 points 99-65, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Burgos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 26-of-33 charity shots (78.8 percent) during the game, while Palma only scored seven points from the stripe. Burgos forced 20 Palma turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Palma helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Taylor Coppenrath (205-81, college: Vermont) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. Burgos' coach Andreu Casadevall felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Comsport) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ivan Matemalas (194-80) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Palma. Burgos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Palma lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Burgos' next round opponent will be CB Prat (#14) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Palma will play against Lobe Huesca (#13) and hope to win that game.
