Bauru continued their impressive run in the Liga Americas competition. They opened the semifinal stage action with a lop-sided win over Regatas Corrientes. Hettsheimer recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds to pace the Brazilian team. Regatas Corrientes gained a 21:14 lead after the opening quarter. Bauru cut the distance in the second term. They pulled within 4 points at halftime 31:35. Bauru shifted the gear in the second half. They unleashed 32 points in the third quarter to take a 5-point advantage. Bauru followed with a 27:12 rally in the final period to ice a comprehensive victory. Larry Taylor produced 17 points, while Jefferson Andrade added 16 points for Bauru. Marcellus Sommerville responded with 21 points for Regatas. Paolo Quinteros had 13 points in the defeat.
